After President Trump’s speech at Mount Rushmore where he called out things like cancel culture, the media mobilized to gaslight the subject. The same folks actively participating in cancel culture, are now saying that it doesn’t exist, that it is just a figment of our imaginations. There are people literally saying this. Here’s a tweet from a guy named Judd Legum.
“Cancel culture” is something that does not exist but is a very popular concept among people who do terrible things and don’t like being held accountable – @JuddLegum
Oh, it’s just accountability guys, just accountability. Accountability like trying to publicly shame and banish JK Rowling for saying the awful horrible thing that biological sex exist. Color me skeptical when people say it’s all about accountability, but then turn around and cancel someone for saying something uncontroversial. Whether you believe it or not, cancel culture does in fact exist, and it is being used widely every day. Thankfully, there are people who fighting back against it.
According to The New York Post, 100 writers and scholars, including people like J.K Rowling signed a letter to put an end to cancel culture and the increasing intolerance for opposing viewpoints. Here’s what The New York Post says.
“The free exchange of information and ideas, the lifeblood of a liberal society, is daily becoming more constricted,” the letter states.
…
It warns that censorship, while something “we have come to expect this on the radical right,” is also spreading more widely on the left through “an intolerance of opposing views, a vogue for public shaming and ostracism, and the tendency to dissolve complex policy issues in a blinding moral certainty.”
This is all a good thing. Cancel Culture is evil and needs to be shutdown. Of course, the left is now canceling everyone who signed the letter. Ironic, isn’t it. The same people who were saying cancel culture doesn’t exist, are canceling these people who want to stop cancel culture, because cancel culture doesn’t exist. The left was outraged by this letter. Because of the outraged, some of the people who signed the letter, unsigned because they “didn’t want to be lumped in with bigots like J.K Rowling”.
It’s quite hilarious when think about it, and it’s even more hilarious that the left thinks they can get away with it. It of course all plays into the agenda that I have been talking about for weeks. The left seeks to destroy any opposing viewpoint, and if you call them out, you will also be canceled. It’s things like this that continues my plan to vote for Trump. I will gladly walk over broken glass to vote for Trump if it means stopping these people. I know many conservatives believe the same thing.
