On Wednesday, the Fulton County DA charged officer Garrett Rolfe with felony murder and aggravated assault, and charged officer Devin Brosnan with aggravated assault after the shooting and killing of Rayshard Brooks. The charges make absolutely no sense and are obviously political in nature. No prosecutor in their right mind would even come close to charging officers based on the evidence in hand. Before we get to my full thoughts on the situation, here is the full story of what exactly happened. If you don’t believe my account, there are videos that back it up.

Rayshard Brooks pulled into a Wendy’s drive thru drunk on the evening of Friday, June 12th. In the drive thru, he passed due to the fact that he was drunk. One of the employees I’m guessing called the police on Brooks and they came to see what’s going on. The officers talked to Brooks for almost 25 minutes, while also doing sobriety test. At no point were the officers aggressive or rude. In fact, they were very respectful towards him. After failing the sobriety test, the officers began to arrest Brooks on DUI charges. Brooks then began to resist the arrest fighting them to free himself. In the process of this, he stole one of the officer’s tasers and got himself free and ran. While running, he turned towards one of the officer’s that were chasing him and fired the taser at him. At that point, he was shot and killed. Again, you can go back and watch the videos to see the situation for yourself.

Based on the facts of the case, how is it possible that the DA would actually charge the officer with felony murder. By the way, sentence for that charge is usually the death penalty or life in prison. Given the circumstances around this case, he would most likely be sentenced to death. So, because he shot Brooks after he stole a taser and tried to use it on him, he could be sentenced to death for that. What sheer absolute bulls***! How can anyone in their right mind defend this. The way this cop is being treated is in no way justified. It absolutely disgusting and things like this will only make things worse.

The reason for Rolfe and Brosnan being railroaded like this is because the DA was getting political pressure from members of the left, that’s the only way for this to possibly happen. After the shooting, the left immediately jumped on and said that it was unjustified and the cop was racist and he murdered Brooks in cold blood. Again, this is not true, the shooting was justified. The left then proceeded to pressure the DA to get a harsh charge on the officer. The left is on mission to paint all cops in America as evil and racist. So, in order to prove their allegiance to this belief and wokeanity, they must railroad any cop involved in shootings like this, regardless of whether or not they deserve it.

You know what’s going to happen after this? Cops all around the United States are going to quit, and I can’t blame them. Why would continue to work on a job where you can potentially be fired and arrested for doing your job. If this happens, things in this country, will start to get very ugly. Thankfully, we have a president who actually supports the cops, but there are several democrats in states across the country who want nothing more than to shutdown their police departments. However, sooner rather than later, they’ll come to regret that decision.
