Over the past few weeks, there has been hubbub over a situation involving an actor named Jussie Smollett, who was in a show called Empire. Honestly, I have never heard of this show until this story came out. Anyways, Smollett claimed that he was a victim of an egregious hate crime. For those who don’t know the full story here it is. The alleged attack happened on the morning of January 29th, here is the story according to the Huffington post.
“Empire” actor Jussie Smollett was reportedly attacked in Chicago early Tuesday morning in what police are calling a possible hate crime.

The Chicago Police Department confirmed to HuffPost it had received a report Tuesday morning that a cast member on the Fox drama was the victim of a “possible racially-charged assault and battery.” Smollett was admitted to Northwestern Memorial Hospital after the attack but has already been released. Police said he is in “good condition.”

The FBI has taken over the investigation amid reports that Smollett received a threatening letter sometime before the attack, according to ABC News.

Police said Smollett told them two men began “yelling out racial and homophobic slurs” before physically attacking the actor. During the attack, the two men “poured an unknown chemical substance” on him, and one of the attackers wrapped a rope around his neck, he said.

TMZ, citing unnamed sources “directly connected to Jussie,” reported that the men yelled racist and homophobic slurs at him. The outlet also reported that the unknown chemical substance was bleach and that, after the attack, the men told Smollett, “This is MAGA country,” referring to President Donald Trump’s slogan “Make America Great Again.”
Basically what Jussie Smollett was claiming is a at around 2 am in the morning after he had gotten a subway sandwich, two men attacked his because he was black and gay. Normally with these stories, your first reaction is to feel tremendous sympathy for the victim and then ask for more details to confirm the story. The problem with this story though is that it didn’t wash from the very beginning and let me explain.
The first part that doesn’t make sense is the details of the actual attack. This attack allegedly happened at 2am in the middle of Chicago. Chicago came out heavily against President Trump in 2016, and also, Smollett was in a show called empire, which from looks of it, doesn’t seem like a show many people, let alone conservatives would watch. So, the idea that two redneck Trump supporters in the middle of Chicago at 2am would recognize him from that show makes no sense whatsoever. Secondly, after the alleged attack, Smollett was spotted heading to his apartment with his subway sandwich still in tact. So apparently he managed to save his sandwich despite being attacked, yeah sure. On top of that, he waited 40 minutes to call the police and when they got there, he refused to give them his phone so they can verify some phone calls he was making around the time of the attack. Basically from the start, I found it hard to buy this story. So, after a few weeks of investigation, it turns out that the attack was a hoax.
Within the last few days, the story has been completely destroyed. Basically, the investigators have concluded that Smollett orchestrated the attack. Here is what CNN says about it.
Chicago (CNN) — Two law enforcement sources with knowledge of the investigationtell CNN that Chicago Police believe actor Jussie Smollett paid two men to orchestrate an assault on him that he reported late last month.

So after weeks of the media using this to smear conservatives as vicious racists and homophobes, it turns out none of it was true. Smollet claimed that he was attacked by Trump supporters and that was an outright lie. Currently, Smollett is now a suspect of a criminal investigation for filing a fake police report. What this ultimately shows, is what the left and media are willing to do in order to smear conservatives as bigots and let me explain.
Among the left in America, they believe that this country was founded on racism, and not only that, they believe that every single conservative is a racist. This is what Obama ran on in 2012 and unfortunately people fell for it. The problem is that this isn’t remotely true. Virtually every conservative that I know are not even close to racist. Despite all of this, the media has decided that they will run any story that fits their narrative regardless of whether or not if it’s true. Also, when conservatives call them out on it, they try to play the victim. This right here is exactly why Trump won in 2016. Conservatives got tired of being called racists, sexists, bigots, and homophobes by the left for 8 years without any basis. And the pathetic thing is that the left has refused to learn from this.
This along with the policies they have embraced is the reason why I will not ever vote for a Democratic candidate. They have moved so far to the left and they have refused acknowledge this, and it’s disgusting. We as conservatives need to ban together, put aside our differences about Trump, and fight to keep Democrats out of office. If they win the presidency and the Senate and keep the House in 2020, bad things are sure to come.
