God’s Sovereignty.

Over the last month, Democrats have basically launched a full scale war against the unborn. During the March for Life, the media completely ignored the the number of people and instead launched a smear campaign against people like Ben Shapiro and the Covington Catholic students. They didn’t want to lend any credibility to the March. Then, New York passed a law that legalized abortion up to the point of birth. Within the few weeks, Virginia House Delegate Kathy Tran proposed a similar bill and even included allowing abortion when the mother is in labor and is literally one minute from giving birth. The Govenor of Virginia, Ralph Northam, supported as well, but thankfully it failed to pass. The Democrats would like you to believe that they are supportive of the right to life, but this is simply not true. There are even some on the left who are fine with killing a baby after it has been born. Some say that it is the mother’s choice, I’m sorry but no, your choice stops at their right to life plain and simple. The left has gotten so radical that they no longer value human life, and all they care about is what makes them feel good. This is all really disgusting stuff and even evil. With all of this stuff constantly going through the news cycle, and when things become so chaotic, not just in politics but also real life, it is easy to forget an undeniable truth, and let me explain.

All throughout human history, there have instances where things become so chaotic, so brutal, that it doesn’t seem like it will ever end. For 400 years, the Israelites were enslaved by Egypt, and treated like animals. At the time before the birth of America, the people were oppressed by England and sought independence with no advantage. During World War 2, the evil Nazi regime sought to eliminate the Jewish people from earth. Jews were put in concentration camps where they were gassed, burned, or worked to death. Today, while we live in the best country in world, everyone is beating each other up for petty reasons which is why everything seems chaotic. In our personal lives, some of us have to deal with cancer or financial difficulties, divorce, death of family member, etc. My point here is that even with these hard times we go through personally or when your country and fellow people is on the brink of destruction, there is one truth we must never forget, and it is that God was, is, and will always be in control.

It is easy to get caught up within the chaos of the world. One of the things that is often asked by unbelievers and even believers is that “If God is all loving and powerful, why does He allow evil in world?” As humans, we can’t fully understand the knowledge of God, because He’s God and we’re just human beings who are deeply flawed. From a human perspective though, there are a couple of answers to this. When God created us, he gave us free will, which gives us the capacity to choose whether or not to follow Him. Obviously, some choose evil and others choose good. The other answer is more difficult to grasp for some but it ultimately makes sense. Throughout the bible and human history, there have been horrific events that have happened, but ultimately this is where God’s glory shines the brightest. As we saw in the book of John when Jesus healed the blind man.

“It was not because of his sins or his parents’ sins,” Jesus answered. “This happened so the power of God could be seen in him.
John 9:3 NLT

In other words, God allows bad things to happen in order for His glory to be shown. My main point is that despite all of the bad things, God is in control. As it says in the book of Psalms.

The Lord has made the heavens his throne; from there he rules over everything.
Psalms 103:19 NLT

This is spelled out pretty simple here, He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Also, we can all praise the notion is that soon, all evil will be gone. There will be no more pain, no more death, etc. All of it will be gone.

While we wait for that time, we as Christians need stay the course and trust God and allow Him to use us. As it says in the book of Romans.

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
Romans 8:28 NLT

When we allow Him to use us, His ultimate glory will shine for all of the world to see. All of this relates to the command Jesus gave us in Matthew before ascending into heaven. And that command is this, “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:19‭-‬20 NLT
