If you haven’t heard yet, last week, Stormy Daniels lawyer Michael Avenatti was arrested for alleged accusations of domestic abuse. The accuser for this incident is an actress named Mareli Miniutti. She alleges that on the night of November 13th, she sustained injuries when Avenatti allegedly dragged her from his apartment into the hallway wearing only a tshirt and underwear. This was all due to an argument over money. The latest information we have is that Ms Miniutti filed a restraining order against him. Also, according to TMZ, the Los Angeles DA will not charge him with a felony and that it is up to the City Attorney whether or not to charge him with a misdemeanor. It is fair to point out that the majority of these types of domestic violence cases are conducted misdemeanors. Now, as of now, I don’t know whether or not that these accusations are true, and you don’t either. What I do know is that he has a presumption of innocence according to constitutional law. Many people agree with this, as they should. Leftists are even saying this, but there is a major issue with that, and I’ll explain in just a little bit.
Before I get that problem, here are some statements leftists. Here is a statement from Stormy Daniels herself.
These are serious and obviously very troubling allegations, but right now that is all they are: allegations. We should all reserve judgment until the investigation — an investigation Michael has said he welcomes– is complete, and that’s what I’m going to do. But of course I do not condone violence against women and if these allegations prove true I will be seeking new representation.
A lot of leftists on Twitter agreed with statement, and they should. Everyone has a right to due process. However, there is one big problem with them saying this and it drives me up a wall. The same people who are quick to say that Avenatti is innocent until proven guilty and that we should wait for all evidence, are the very same ones who were willing ignore due process and destroy Brett Kavanaugh’s life and career based on vague uncorroborated allegations. The same people who said to believe all women in spite of the evidence, have the audacity to say that Avenatti deserves due process. Save me the moral high ground folks. The only reason they were saying this is because Michael Avenatti is on their side and Kavanaugh isn’t. So basically, if you are a Democrat, you’re innocent. If you’re a Republican you’re guilty. This type of Hypocrisy from the left is quite disgusting and it’s not just with due process.
2 weeks back, we had the midterm elections. As we know, there were several cases of voter fraud throughout the country. The one that got the most attention was Florida, particularly Broward county. Elections chief Brenda Snipes, was involved in possible tampering with election ballots. Some ballots randomly showed up out of thin air. Basically there was some suspicious stuff going on and Republicans caught on. Democrats on the other hand were saying that Republicans were undermining the integrity of our democracy when they questioned election results. While they all of that, Democrats accused Republicans of stealing elections. Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacy Abrams claimed that Brian Kemp used voter suppression to win the election. There is no evidence for this whatsoever. @AG_Conservative has a great thread on Twitter about this. But is undermining our democracy when Democrats say that Republicans stole elections? Of course not, because according to them, when Democrats win it’s legitimate, when Republicans win it’s stolen. They have been doing this with the 2016 election as well, and it is really quite pathetic.
Look, Republicans can be guilty of this as well, but there is no doubt that the left is worse at it. This kind of Hypocrisy does nothing good for this country. In fact, it divides us more. The best way to fix all of this is for every one of us to be consistent on our beliefs, and not just hold it for one side.
