According to Fox News, at around 11:20 pm (Pacific Time) on Wednesday night at the Borderline Bar & Grill, durduring a country music event, a gunman entered the bar and began to open fire onto the people there. The shooter was reportedly armed with a .45 caliber Semiautomatic handgun, and a smoke device to disodisorient his victims.
Here is the latest of what we know:
- 12 people have been killed
- 23 people have been injured.
- Sgt. Ron Helus, a veteran of 29 years.
- The Shooter was also killed and has been identified.
I will give any updates that come throughout the day. My prayers go out to victims and their families of last night’s shooting.
Update:
The shooter was well known to his neighbors in his neighborhood. He was a troubled ex-Marine who suffered from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). This is unfortunately something a lot of veterans go through. He lived with his mother and often lashed out in violent ways in their home.
