On Saturday, a horrific and fatal mass shooting took place at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Here is what CNN reported.
(CNN) — Authorities responded to a shooting Saturday morning near the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, according to Allegheny County Sheriff’s Deputy Kevin Kraus.

Three police officers have been shot and there are fatalities, officials said at an impromptu press conference. The shooter has surrendered, they said.
The shooting began around 9:30 am during service. When the gunman walked in, he began shouting anti-semitic language and began to open fire onto the synagogue members. The shooter has been taken into custody. The latest report, according to Jake Tapper from CNN, 12 people have been shot, and there are multiple fatalities.
