On Sunday, the left started to absolutely insane over a move that the Trump administration is working towards involving Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. The left has lost their minds over it. They are calling this one of the worst moves by the President. So, you might ask yourself what is this terrible, horrible, no good, very bad move? Well, basically the Trump administration is working on adopting a specific legal definition of sex, determined by chromosomes and genitals. So then you might ask yourself what’s the problem here? Science is pretty clear about this subject, so why are people flipping out? Well, this is mainly thanks to the media, they have just been awful. Title IX specifically was for this,
No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.
Notice the terminology there, it says sex, not gender, sex, although they are both the same. Anyways, all this does is protect people from discrimination based on biological sex, it does not however wipe transgender people out of existence. Doesn’t matter, the media ignores this and continues to spin what is actually happening. Here are some examples.
Today’s first example comes courtesy of a piece in the New York Times by Erica L. Green, Katie Benner, and Robert Pear, titled “Transgender” Could Be Defined Out of Existence Under Trump Administration. Here is what it says.
WASHINGTON — The Trump administration is considering narrowly defining gender as a biological, immutable condition determined by genitalia at birth, the most drastic move yet in a governmentwide effort to roll back recognition and protections of transgender people under federal civil rights law.
Yes, because Title IX protects people on basis of biological sex, it does not give permission to a man who says they’re a woman to use a women’s restroom. It continues.
A series of decisions by the Obama administration loosened the legal concept of gender in federal programs, including in education and health care, recognizing gender largely as an individual’s choice and not determined by the sex assigned at birth. The policy prompted fights over bathrooms, dormitories, single-sex programs and other arenas where gender was once seen as a simple concept. Conservatives, especially evangelical Christians, were incensed.
“Sex assigned at birth” is the most idiotic used by the left. Your biological sex is not assigned to you at birth by the doctor or parents, it is assigned by God, genetics, you know, science. This idea that if you are biological man who says he’s a woman means that he is a biological woman is completely asinine. It doesn’t matter to the left though, they continue to change how they define sex, and gender, mainly just to virtue signal and make conservatives look like bigots. It continues. Also when it says “Conservatives, especially evangelical Christians, were incensed”, it is clearly an attack on the religious people in this country for our “backwards” beliefs. It continues.
Now the Department of Health and Human Services is spearheading an effort to establish a legal definition of sex under Title IX, the federal civil rights law that bans gender discrimination in education programs that receive government financial assistance, according to a memo obtained by The New York Times.

The department argued in its memo that key government agencies needed to adopt an explicit and uniform definition of gender as determined “on a biological basis that is clear, grounded in science, objective and administrable.” The agency’s proposed definition would define sex as either male or female, unchangeable, and determined by the genitals that a person is born with, according to a draft reviewed by The Times. Any dispute about one’s sex would have to be clarified using genetic testing.
Yes, that’s how genetics work. You can’t just up and completely change them. It continues.
“Sex means a person’s status as male or female based on immutable biological traits identifiable by or before birth,” the department proposed in the memo, which was drafted and has been circulating since last spring. “The sex listed on a person’s birth certificate, as originally issued, shall constitute definitive proof of a person’s sex unless rebutted by reliable genetic evidence.”
Why is this controversial? We learned about this in the 7th grade. If you have Male genetics, you’re a Male. If you have Female genetics, you’re a Female, simple as that. Also, it’s not unreasonable to be required to prove that you’re the sex that you identify as, because if, for example, you were to go a doctor with lower stomach cramps, that can mean two different things with a Male and Female, since men and women are different. Anyways, the piece goes on to basically that this move will wipe transgender people out of existence, which is completely asinine, but the media runs with it anyways.
Overall, I think this was a good move by the Trump administration and it should have been done long ago. The fact that the left is going insane over this just shows how delusional they can be. The left claims that they are the party of science and attack conservatives for not completely buying into climate change, but they completely deny basic biology. All of this of course is just Democrats way of virtue signaling to their base before the elections because that’s really all that matters to them right now and they will clearly do anything to get them.
