On Friday, Special Counsel Robert Mueller announced new indictments in the alleged Russian interference into the 2016 presidential election. According to the memo by the Department of Justice on the indictments, 12 Russian nationals were indicted on charges of allegedly stealing documents from the DNC and hacking into their servers. All of this was of course an effort to attempt to influence the election allegedly towards then presidential candidate Donald Trump. Now, below you’ll see a two page report the indictments by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and then I’ll give a brief explanation.

All of this of course adds to the allegations that Russia was in fact attempting to intervene into our election system. Now, the big question is that, does this provide any evidence or simply suggest that President Trump and team colluded with the Russians to help them? Nope, it doesn’t. Despite what the left might say today, nothing in these indictments lead back to President Trump. In fact, in the report, it states that “there is no allegation in the indictment that any American was a knowing participant in the alleged unlawful activity or knew they were communicating with Russian intelligence officers.” Now who knows, maybe evidence will come to light that proves the collusion allegations, but I highly doubt they will, seeing how we are now 2 years into this and still nothing. It also important to point out that according to the report, that there is no evidence to suggest that the actual voting count of the election was altered. In other words, the actual election voting results were legitimate.

Now, today you are seeing the left cheering, and say that “Mueller is very close to taking down Trump, Republicans should be worried.” From the right you’re seeing some say that this completely exonerates Trump and that this whole thing was a witch hunt. Now look, I don’t think Trump colluded, but nothing in these indictments suggest that he is completely exonerated from wrong doing, and again I highly doubt Mueller will come up with anything. The best thing to do right now, is to be patient and see where the evidence takes us.
