Jerusalem: Trump’s decision and the left’s fallout over it.

Earlier this month, President Trump made a great decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and to move our embassy to there. This was one of favorite moves that the president has made this past year. The left of course has been unhinged about the whole situation. They are calling this decision made by the President, one of the worst decisions made and claiming that he will be the cause of war in the middle East between Israel and the Palestinians. News flash, they have been going at each other for years and the majority of the time Israel is not at fault. The left likes to claim that Israel was Palestinian territory and that the Jewish people had no right to it. This of course is completely false and I’ll explain why.

Firstly, let’s be clear here, the land of Israel has always belonged to the Jewish people. This dating back to the time of Abraham when God promised this very land to his people and descendants. From that time to today the Israelites have struggled to keep the land and at many points lost it. For the modern era, it wasn’t until 1948 when they finally had their land back and have kept it ever since. To add, the reason why a lot of Christians such as myself support this decision is because Jerusalem is where Jesus was crucified on the cross, so you see why it is a big deal, and that’s why both Jews and Christians stand together on this issue.

President Trump’s decision not only sparked backlash from the left in America but also from the UN. On December 21st of this year, the UN voted 128-9 to condemn the United States for its decision to which the President and Nikki Haley respond by basically saying, who gives a crap what you say, we’re still moving our embassy there whether you like it or not. The both of them are absolutely correct, who cares what they say. I’m glad Trump decided to pull funding from them, because why waste money on a group of countries who don’t like us.

My biggest gripe about this is that the left says things like, Trump is acting like a dictator or the U.S. is being imperialistic with this decision, but the thing is, Israel gave us permission to move the embassy to Jerusalem and most importantly they identify Jerusalem as their capital. In other words the only permission we need is from Israel not other countries who actually hate them.
At the end of day, the President made the correct call here. Whether the left wants to accept it or not, Trump is doing great things for this country and I’m glad I voted for him. The only thing that would make it better is by lowering his Twitter usage ( seriously though).
